About Me & Barbados

Hi, my name Justin Burney and I'm a sophomore at Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC)! I am from Suwanee, Georgia, which is about twenty minutes from GGC. I have one younger brother that is a junior at North Gwinnett High School. My major is biochemistry since GGC does not offer pre-dental, so I am looking to transfer to a college soon that offers this major to pursue my dreams of becoming a dentist. Some of my hobbies that I enjoy are hanging out with my friends playing and watching sports since my life pretty much revolved around them between my brother and I. I used to play football, baseball, and basketball. Some of my favorite teams are the LSU Tigers, New Orleans Saints, New Orleans Pelicans, Atlanta Hawks and the Atlanta Braves.

In this class I am looking forward to learning much about the Caribbean. Some things I would love to learn about this part of the world is the culture, food, and music around there. I would like to know these types of things, because I have many friends who are Hispanic, this way I can get to know their heritage better. My family is also looking to take a vacation trip to one of the islands there so I feel like it'd be cool to know about the places down there before visiting, that way I would know what to expect prior going.
