Who doesn’t love to getaway and travel to the Caribbean’s any chance they can get? The most popular place to travel is none other than superstar singer Rihanna’s homeland of Barbados. Barbados is one of the many beautiful islands located in the eastern part of the Caribbean. Why do many people visit this small island you’re wondering? The island is home to a mixture of two different cultures, many sights to see and visit, and obviously it’s great location, which makes it a great vacation spot for you or your family. Barbados as a whole is a tiny country that doesn’t produce a lot exports worthy enough that make countries want their goods, so much of the income they bring in are from many tourists around the world. So exactly how would and how much of the economy is affected if they weren’t attracting so many people?

There were many challenges when trying to find research on the small Caribbean island of Barbados. Due to the country being so small it doesn’t have many sites available to look at other than cruises and other vacationing websites. Although the same websites did give me many places to see and visit while in Barbados. Barbados is one of the most vacationed islands in the Caribbean. Like many Caribbean islands one of the most favorite places to visit are the beaches. Some of the more popular beaches on the island are Bridgetown Beach, Carlisle Bay, Miami Beach, and Enterprise Beach are the most visited ones. Barbados has many interesting and fun facts despite it being such a small country. It was one of the last countries to gain its independence in 1966, once a colony of England. Because of this the culture has an Afro-European affect on the people. Many slaves were brought to the country in the 1600s by the English therefore bringing an African culture to the island.
